GREEN SHRIMP FISH Also known as Caridina babaulti, these rare freshwater shrimp are a variant of the Cardinal species. They are peaceful, excellent scavengers, and safe with all plants. Green shrimp are popular for planted tanks, community tanks, and large aquariums for waste management and algae control. They can live in almost any aquarium and their colors contrast well against dark substrates and other shrimp colors.

Description

Green shrimp prefer to graze on algae patches, brown autumn leaves, food scraps, and special shrimp food. Their water parameters are GH 8 to 22, KH 3 to 8, pH 7 to 7.5, and temperature 24 to 30 °C. The recommended tank size is 10 liters and up, but at least 20 liters is recommended for beginners. Green shrimp can be kept with small, peaceful fish, crayfish, snails, mussels, and other shrimp
